The original First Turn Restaurant and Lounge was founded in 1984 on US 92 near the Daytona Speedway. Based on a Stock Car Racing Theme and being the home of the Charcoal Sizzlin Steak, so many drivers and teams became frequent visitors of First Turn. In the fall of 1988 the original First Turn moved to its present location on US 1 in Allendale, one mile south of the Port Orange Bridge. People from miles around come to enjoy a famous Sizzlin Steak, a good time and racing memorabilia that has created a history of early racing in the Daytona Area.
Original First Turn was founded in 1984, it has been a staple in Daytona and Port Orange for many years. Owners Shane Snipes and Janet McDermott are keeping the tradition alive with great food, great music and always a great time.
